Peracto is a privately owned, independent agricultural contract research company. Our Head Office is at Devonport on the North West Coast of Tasmania, and we have field staff located throughout Australia.
Peracto staff come from varying backgrounds including the agricultural chemical industry, government research organisations and private industry. There is over 200 years of trial experience within our team.
Professional knowledge and awareness is maintained through training, extensive professional networks, and regular attendance at national and international conferences and gatherings.

Australia is a vast continent, able to grow almost any crop, from tropical fruits to temperate vegetables. Cereals, canola, lupins, grain legumes (e.g. soybeans, beans, field peas), cotton, sugar cane, sorghum and corn are amongst Australia's largest crops. Pasture and forestry are also important.
Peracto has its own researchers or collaborators based in all major cropping areas in Australia.
We are able to undertake trials in all intensive horticulture, broadacre and summer crops. Our national coverage means that we can conduct equivalent crop trials in different states. Peracto is able to work in appropriate sites for testing product efficacy, and is flexible enough to conduct trials according to seasonal circumstances.
International links
Peracto is able to conduct out-of-season trials for Northern Hemisphere clients. Clients can achieve two season's trials in the one calendar year by establishing trials in the Southern Hemisphere, thus completing registration submissions sooner.
